A female military veteran student finds herself taking care of her mental health in a way that anyone can: by journaling. Going outside with a blanket, a journal and a pen.

“If you just keep writing, it will come to you naturally to where you want to talk about your day,” said Brianna Torres, junior elementary education major.

At just five years old, Aisha Alfahd, senior business management major, laced up her skates and hit the ice for the first time.

Growing up in Canada, Alfahd found a love for figure skating, and at 11 years old, she began to compete on the ice.

Eight months ago, UCF College of Business students began brainstorming how they can help students make new friends, find out what’s going on in the UCF community and save money along the way.

A safe space for women: New organization on campus exclusively for women veterans

The Women's Veterans Association introduced themselves to the UCF community on Wednesday at an open house and tabling event held by the Military and Veterans Success Center.

Although UCF has the Student Veterans Association on campus for all veterans, there has never been an organization exclusively for women.

First Female UCF Alumni Elected Official Runs for Reelection to Florida House

When she was just a high school student, UCF alumni Kimberly Berfield already had a passion for serving her community.

She joined an organization called Girl State, a summer leadership and citizenship program for high school juniors who have an interest in government.
